SBIRT Core Program Post-Training Results
We have collected provider opinions on a recent SBIRT Core Program post-training survey (n=30), regarding satisfaction and educational value. Data was collected between September-December 2011. Satisfaction
Data (n=30) show high satisfaction with the learning program:

Educational Value

The program contains a knowledge pre-test to assess baseline knowledge, and after completion of all the modules, learners complete a knowledge post-test. A score of 70% or better on the post-test is considered 'passing'. There was significant improvement in the mean knowledge scores from pre- (62%) to post-training (76%) for participants (p≤0.05). The post-test passing rate was 93%.
Educational value was rated highly. The majority of participants agreed that the program will assist in the improvement of:
- Knowledge (93%)
- Competence (77%)
- Performance (73%) and
- Patient outcomes (50%)
Additionally (where 1=Strongly Disagree, 5=Strongly Agree):
- the program supported achievement of all core learning objectives (4.0-4.1/5)
